People play hacky sack with a spirit of inclusion and cooperation.
The point is to keep the ball up together by passing it around the group.
Corporate prayer should have that same spirit. Each one catching the theme and pressing into it with their own perspective and vantage point, and launching it for the next person to step up and catch it.
Holy Spirit will give insights as others pray, connections will form in your mind. Look for the launch and add it, then let it go for the next person.
If an opening doesn’t come, look to see if someone else covered it, or if the topic has moved on and lean in and agree with where it goes.
Take joy in the group success, not personal contributions.
No one plans a round of hacky sack. They don’t choreograph it. That’s part of the game. It is spontaneous. Everyone has to watch and be engaged with the group to do it. If you check out, you drop the bag. If you hog it, you loose the cohesion of the group.
Prayer is like this. Let the Spirit move between you and weave you together by leaning in and letting go.
Don’t worry about what isn’t mentioned. The Father knows what you need before you ask.
