“There is a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near Him and receive the revelation secrets of His promises.” Psalm 25:14 TPT
In Ezekiel’s vision of the cherubim that surround God he describes “something like human hands under the wings of the cherubim.” I, at first, thought he was describing the arms of the cherubim. That they had human arms as well as wings, but in prayer one day, I got the impression that they were in fact human hands.
God draws near to those that intercede for others. Those whose compassion for others is awake and active find that His chariot and the wings of the cherubim are literally in their midst.
The work of an intercessor is not glamorous. Don’t go into this line of work for the accolades and praises. They are few and far between.
However, when obscurity and discouragement surround you, go to the secret place! Run to it and light the altar of praise and worship. Climb into the chariot of fire under the cherub’s wings and do the work in secret that shelters others, that tramples serpents.
The dragon is not scared of preachers, politicians or great people. He is afraid when sparrows keep company with Eagles!
